News: Welcome to the Mark McCoy Paralegal and Legal Education Board. I started this as a project when I was enrolled in Paralegal Studies at SWIC, and it has since become a place for both paralegal students and other students of law to exchange information. This site has become quite popular with students at SWIC, and as a result has placed an unexpected burden upon the server. I am offering subscriptions for a semester worth of access for $10 to offset the additional server load and my time having to maintain this site. The site used to be maintained for free, but the number of people using this site has begun to take quite a bit of my time. To sign up, please click the PayPal link on this page: http://www.paralegal.markmccoy.com to make your payment and provide me a username and password. I'll set your site up and email you the information needed. Thanks, and good luck!

Official Website is here. Please vote!

I am hereby announcing my candidacy for Governor of Illinois (write-in candidate), with the full support of the Libertarian Party of Illinois.
Of course, due to time constraints and election law restrictions, since I was not nominated at a Party convention, I cannot run on a party ticket. Therefore, I am running as a write-in candidate, who is a Libertarian, although I am supported by the Libertarian Party.

Some of you, who do not know me may ask why; and what makes me qualified? Those of you who do know me will undoubtedly not be surprised, yet still question my qualifications.
I am in the process if formatting my issues, but suffice it to say, I am out to launch a full frontal assault on the status quo and sacred cows.
I, for one, am in favor of a completely new Illinois Constitution, with the constitutional convention being composed of common people who are elected by other people. Lawyers, politicians, special interests, corporations, or other such professionals will not have a say in the construction of the new constitution, except for serving in an advisory capacity to those who may seek their input, yet which may still be disregarded.
There will be a complete recodification of Illinois statutes, to the point that they will not only be broken down into subject matter/topics, as they are now, but will also be notated as being applicable to artificial persons (corporations, associations, partnerships...) and real people (human beings).
The law will also be classified as being either mala in se (true crime with evil intent) or mala prohibita (a mere will of the legislature that will not apply to most people).
I will also propose a Read the Bills amendment to the new constitution, which will allow for a mid-term removal of any legislator who violates such provision. No bill will be signed into law without ALL voting legislators having signed and provided supporting affidavits attesting to their reading fully, a minimum of 1 time, personally; as well as two public readings on the floor where they must be present.
I will propse the J.A.I.L. initiative to remove judges shown to engage in judicial malfeasance.
I will make it mandatory that every potential juror be apprised of their right to nullify any law that them deem to be unfair, abusive, unconstitutional or oppressive, through a partnership with the Fully Informed Jury Institute.
I will propose the Source of Authority Amendment to the new constitution, whereby any new law will have to bear the constitutional provision from where it's power or authority derives, as well as any supporting, or negating, case law.
My list goes on and on.

If you want to break free from overregulation, administrative law tyranny, abusive judges, ignorant juries, incomprehensible laws, vague constitutional language, an oligarchic state, then please take the time to write my name in for Illinois Governor this November. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! ;D
