| News: Welcome to the Mark McCoy Paralegal and Legal Education Board. I started this as a project when I was enrolled in Paralegal Studies at SWIC, and it has since become a place for both paralegal students and other students of law to exchange information. This site has become quite popular with students at SWIC, and as a result has placed an unexpected burden upon the server. I am offering subscriptions for a semester worth of access for $10 to offset the additional server load and my time having to maintain this site. The site used to be maintained for free, but the number of people using this site has begun to take quite a bit of my time. To sign up, please click the PayPal link on this page: http://www.paralegal.markmccoy.com to make your payment and provide me a username and password. I'll set your site up and email you the information needed. Thanks, and good luck! |

So you think you're an Employee working for an Employer. Another example of ignorance and incompetent "lawyering" by a company and its "mouthpiece" in withholding compensation from one of my clients. The names have been changed to protect the just. |

Are Cops Constitutional? Where in the Constitution, any constitution, do we find ANY authority for an armed, para-military force tasked with detaining, surveying, questioning, or otherwise protecting us? How many of you have ever pondered the constitutionality of police. This is an excellent treatise, and highly recommended. |

The Lie behind the Marriage Lie-cense Maybe you are married. You entered into an arrangement with your spouse, possibly with the hopes of your God or Creator blessing your union. However, before you got married you probably filled out a Marriage License Application at the courthouse. You received a License from the State to marry. And God was probably an after-thought in the whole process. Why do we need permission (a license) from govt. in order to make a commitment with the one we love to spend the rest of our lives together? This read is VERY interesting. It should make you think twice before asking govt. permission to "wed". |

How to fight, and hopefully win, an unlawful traffic ticket in Missouri. My wife received a traffic ticket for allegedly running a light. Step-by-step on how I tackled a kangaroo court, dishonest cop, and megalomaniacal prosecutor. Oh Yeah! |

Deciphering the City of St. Louis Earnings Tax...Are you liable? If you work in St. Louis, you probably are paying the St. Louis City Earnings Tax. Even though it is only 1%, the issue is the legality and applicability to each individual. A thorough reading of the code shows that "people" are not liable, and therefore, not subject to the tax. Can you prove me wrong? |

Social Security Numbers. Bah! Who needs 'em? You use it, you lose it. The number and your freedom, that is. I haven't used mine in years. Actually, it isn't mine, it's the government's since they issued it and can revoke it. They can have it. |

The myth behind the income tax. Are you a taxpayer (statutorily defined) deriving income (defined by the Supreme Court) working for an employer (statutorily defined) as an employee (statutorily defined)? I'm not. |

The Right to Travel. Are you a driver of a motor vehicle? Debunking, or just debating, the myth that we must have a driver's license to travel, and the nexus between that nefarious hoax and encroaching tyranny. |
